– In 2021, we upgraded our business system to Monitor G5 and increased the opportunities to collect important data. But the challenge is to visualize and take advantage of that information throughout the business, and that's where Boards on Fire comes in, says Erik Ralvert, CEO of IS Plåt.
Could you describe your set up in Boards on Fire?
– Among other things, we have digitized our management pulse, which we previously conducted in weekly meetings at the whiteboard. There we follow up on incoming orders at customer level, which is good for giving everyone an overall picture. We also visualize delivery precision and go through proposals and action lists, says Erik Ralvert.
– We have also set up screens in the workshops where we share information for each department. By making updated data available to everyone who benefits from it in their work, we increase both participation and commitment in the entire staff. We handle deviations faster and more efficiently.
Integration with ERP
With high-class services in machining, laser cutting, welding and bending, IS Plåt has created strong relationships as a supplier to industries with high demands. The customers are, for example, in the pharmaceutical industry, the packaging industry and water treatment. As further evidence that the will to constantly develop yields results IS Plåt was awarded company of the year in Vellinge municipality. i
– For me, it's important that we don't get stuck in long processes, but can quickly test things in the business to see if something works for us. There, Boards on Fire has fit in well both in terms of the solution itself and in the commitment on their part. We can enter some information manually and integrate with the ERP system to update other parts automatically. And above all, we can scale up later and expand with new funcionality.
